I loved abandoned, and decaying places. I love them for so many reasons. You can almost see the shadows of those that once walked on the caved in floors, you can almost hear the voices, the crowds, smell the wafting perfume. This photoset is just brilliant.

There’s a beautiful old, decaying building in the town over from where I live. It’s private, though, and no one’s allowed in except on Halloween, when you have to pay like $20 to get in. Kids like to sneak in because there’s a rumor that it was once an insane asylum, and now it’s haunted. It’s actually an abandoned orphanage, though, that some guy bought and never fixed up, but he still monitors it like it’s the Pentagon.
