Treating someone with psychosis as if they were psychopathic is the worst thing that you can do. Psychosis is a break with reality, and involves delusions and hallucinations, etc. that are commonly associated with mental health disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Psychopathy is what you mean when you think of a serial killer; manipulative, pathological, callous, and parasitic.

Being psychotic is NOT the same as being a psychopath.
